If your blog post's featured images are fairly low resolution, you may want to delete the top image canvas. Creek Club Wedding Charleston

Emily + Alex are one of my 2020 couples whose wedding plans rapidly changed with the onset of COVID-19. They decided that 2020 was not going to interfere with their plans to get married, no matter what the universe threw at them. Their original wedding date was set for May 23, 2020 at The Creek Club at I’on in Charleston, South Carolina. Since they were forced to make a new plan, Emily + Alex decided to elope on Folly Beach in front of their closest friends and family. They postponed their wedding celebration at the Creek Club until August 2020. I think they would agree that it was well worth the wait!

Emily reached out to me after her elopement to see if I’d be up for doing couples portraits of the two of them in their formal wedding attire. The two decided that an August wedding in Charleston was a little too hot for them to be in formal wear for a mostly outdoor wedding at The Creek Club. Let me just say that couple’s portraits should be the new trend!! I spent three hours photographing them at their venue and in downtown Charleston. If you want a way to get hundreds of portraits of you and your spouse, this is the way to do it!

Emily + Alex

This post would not be worth of reading if I did not point out how incredible these two have been to work with from day one. I first met Emily + Alex back in March of 2019 for their engagement session on The Isle of Palms. It feels like so long ago, because at the time I was still pregnant with my son Roman, who is now just shy of 15 months old. Let me tell you, time flies… even during a global pandemic! Emily +Alex are basically every photographer’s dream. They are amazingly kind, undeniably photogenic, and extremely laid back. They have been thrown a lot over the last few years and have handle everything they encounter with extreme grace.

The Final Celebration at the Creek Club

Emily + Alex finally had their big wedding celebration with family and friends at the Creek Club at I’on! Originally planned as a more traditional ceremony and reception, they opted to host a casual island themed party with all of their family + friends. (Blog post coming soon!) For now, enjoy this sweet couple’s formal wedding portraits below. I’m not kidding when I say couple’s portraits outside of the wedding day should be a thing! Congrats Mr. + Mrs. Miller!
