CLASSICALLY MODERN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY FOR SOPHISTICATED COUPLES

NOTE —

If your blog post's featured images are fairly low resolution, you may want to delete the top image canvas. Your blog will still look gorgeous, but the top banner section looks best when you upload an image that's 2500px on the long side. You can also use our fave TinyJpeg to make them small so your blog posts still load quickly!

Downtown Charleston Engagement Photos

Let me start by saying if a couple requests a sunrise session in Downtown Charleston for their engagement photos, I am beyond excited! Charleston is beautiful any time of day, but there’s something about the calmness of an early morning session that has me hooked. Not to mention that early morning light is to die for.

Megan + Carter

Megan and Carter will be married this April at the Historic Rice Mill in downtown Charleston. Of course, any couple of mine knows that engagement photos are a must! I love capturing couples well before their big day. Engagement photos allow the three of us to hang out in a relaxed setting and get to know each other while taking some epic photos.

Megan and Carter’s engagement story is so sweet! The two were on vacation in North Carolina when Carter proposed. They were crabbing and he acted as though he got bit. While Megan rushed to his rescue, that’s when Carter asked Megan to be his wife. How adorable is that?

Every couple I photograph is so unique. I love that no matter how many times I may photograph in one location, each couple brings their relationship and personality to the session. It’s my job to capture those genuine moments. Megan and Carter certainly had a ton of those moments during their session!

Charleston Charm

Now, it’s no secret that Charleston is full of Charm. There are countless locations to take engagement photos, but I can admit I do have my favorite locations. For Megan and Carter’s session we definitely visited some of my top destinations downtown. St. Michael’s Alley outside of Old St. Michael’s Church is probably of the best in my opinion. I’m not sure if it’s the way the Cypress trees are perfectly aligned or the fact that it reminds me of Tuscany. Take a scroll down to see Megan and Carter in a few of Charleston’s most sought after locations. I kid you not, I’ve had more requests lately for photos just like Megan and Carter’s!
