Where do I start with Lauren + Caylon? Well let me start by saying I love these two! We had so much fun wandering around Charleston, looking for fun spots and beautiful light. That’s how we roll on any engagement session. It’s all about the LIGHT people!! I also might add that both of them were nervous for the session, which is 100 percent normal. Most people aren’t professional models (although so many of my couples could be), and need some direction for photos! I was so thrilled to hear afterwards about how comfortable they felt with me. I’m definitely not a comedian, but I find a way to make it fun for everyone!
Lauren mentioned to me before the session that she loves a lot of the iconic Charleston spots. Ummm yes please…there’s a reason they’re iconic! They’re meant to be photographed, especially with a happy couple posed in front!
Speaking of the happy couple, Lauren + Caylon have an amazing engagement story. Caylon proposed to Lauren at another iconic Charleston spot, Boone Hall Plantation. If you aren’t sure what this looks like check the notebook, or Google where Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively got married. Better yet, Google the Avenue of the Oaks. It’s unreal, and is truly a magical place to get engaged. Caylon went big time on this proposal. He even hired his photographer friend to shoot the proposal. Lauren clearly said yes, and the two will be married at The Creek Club at I’On this spring!
Their wedding vision sounds right up my alley. It’s a Sunday brunch wedding! I won’t give any more details about it, but let’s just say I’m VERY excited for this one! It’s going to be a one of a kind.
Scroll down to check out some of the iconic Charleston spots. How many do you see?
Lauren + Caylon, enjoy this time as an engaged couple! Thank you for letting me in on your love story, and wedding day 🙂
